“Alpenglow Chamber Music Fest brings world-class musicians to Summit”

The fantastic guitarist, Dan Lippel was at Alpenglow in 2015. He is a wonderful composer as well, and it was a special occasion to present his amazing performances in addition to his unique compositions. Please listen to his expressive, colorful, and poetic Bach performance here.

Here is our returning cellist, Raman Ramakrishnan, playing with Alpenglow artistic directors, Rieko Aizawa and Jesse Mills.

(This is a performance of Schubert Piano Trio #2 as Horszowski Trio from the Bard Festival, NY in August, 2014.)

“Alpenglow Music Festival: Inspired By Nature”

Ilana Davidson, a gorgeous soprano, joined us in 2012, 2013 and 2015. Everyone loved her sensitive and thoughtful music-making in our chamber music setting.

You can listen to her unusually pure and beautiful voice in this romantic Mahler Symphony.

The young yet highly-established Verona Quartet will be making their Alpenglow debut this year. In this video they display their artistry with much joy and intelligence.

They will be collaborating with returning violist, Masumi Rostad, who was their mentor at Indiana University.  Please don’t miss it!

Clarinetist, Igor Begelman has made big fans in Silverthorne! His extraordinary talent has amazed many people every time he has performed for us. Showcasing his circular breathing skills during the Summit High School workshop, he impressed us all -- a convenient way to combat the high altitude!

Flutist, Jennifer Grim (2016) and hornist, Zohar Schondorf (2015) charmed our Alpenglow audience. They play regularly in a woodwind quintet together. Our artistic director, Rieko, often collaborates with them, and this is one of her favorite performance clips of theirs. Enjoy!

The elegant violist, Masumi Rostad will return for his third Alpenglow festival.  A longtime friend of our artistic director (Jesse), as well a world-renowned artist, we are fortunate call Masumi a regular at our festival.  An avid hiker, hear his nature-inspired music from atop a mountaintop in this clip.
